We did not sign up for or use LazyApply: what follows is read from its own public pages on the dates shown, with stated facts kept apart from marketing claims. How we review.

Good fit if

  • You want a high number of applications a day and accept that you will not see each one first.
  • Your jobs are on Indeed, LinkedIn, Dice, ZipRecruiter or Greenhouse, the platforms its pages name.
  • You are ready to pay for a year up front, and your account email is a Gmail address.
  • You also want referral emails sent to employees at the companies you apply to.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want to approve each application, or read the answers, before it is sent.
  • You want a resume tailored to each posting: no LazyApply page describes it.
  • You want a free trial, a free plan for the applier, or monthly billing.
  • You want the tool to state the risk to your LinkedIn or job-board account rather than promise there is none.

Strengths

  • High daily caps for the price: 150 applications a day on Premium ($149 a year) and 1,500 on Ultimate.
  • The yearly Basic plan, $99 for 15 applications a day, works out to about $8.25 a month if you use it for the whole year.
  • It sends referral emails to employees at the companies you apply to, beside the applications.
  • A dashboard tracks the applications and the referral emails.

Weaknesses

  • No page describes a step where you see an application before it is sent; the home page says its agent handles the whole application.
  • No free trial and no free plan for the applier; a live demo is offered by email instead.
  • Refunds cover the first subscription only, within 30 days, if you applied to fewer than 100 jobs and it demonstrably failed; renewals are never refunded.
  • On account risk its home page only claims that profiles will never get blocked; nothing backs that claim.
  • Its terms send disputes to binding arbitration and waive court and class actions.

Limits to know before you pay

  • Every plan has a daily application limit: 15, 150 or 1,500 a day.
  • Plans are yearly; no page states how renewal or cancelling works.
  • Which applicant tracking systems beyond Greenhouse it fills is not stated, and Chrome is the only browser named.
  • Its Chrome Web Store listing declares that it handles personal, authentication and communication data, your location, activity and website content.

What LazyApply does

LazyApply is a Chrome extension tied to a web dashboard: you install the extension, it opens the dashboard, and you log in there. Its home page names Greenhouse, Dice, Indeed and ZipRecruiter as platforms it applies on, and its job-application-automation page names LinkedIn and Indeed. Its Indeed bot page describes the run itself: you filter by title, location, salary, remote work and date posted, type how many jobs to apply to in one go, and press Start applying.

Beside the applications it sends referral emails to employees at the companies you apply to, and a dashboard tracks both. A cover letter generator sits on its own page.

Who presses Submit

The home page says its agent “handles the entire application process”. No page we read describes a step where you see the filled form or its answers before it goes. If checking each application matters to you, treat that step as missing until LazyApply shows one. We did not sign up to look.

What a plan commits you to

Every plan is yearly and sold by its daily cap: Basic covers 15 applications a day with one resume profile, Premium 150 with five, Ultimate 1,500 with twenty, plus analytics and priority support. A plan is bought for an email address that must be a Gmail account.

There is no free trial and no free plan for the applier. The refund window is 30 days on the first subscription only, and only if you applied to fewer than 100 jobs through it and the product demonstrably failed to work as advertised. At the Basic cap of 15 a day, 100 applications take seven days, so the refund is effectively a first-week option. Renewals are never refunded, and no page states how renewal or cancelling works: ask before you pay.

Who runs it

LazyApply is run by PEVE VISIONS PRIVATE LIMITED in Madhya Pradesh, India, and its refund policy is governed by Indian law. Its terms send disputes to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association’s rules and waive court and class actions. Its home page says it has over 50,000 users; that figure cannot be checked from outside.

Account risk

On the risk to your LinkedIn or job-board accounts, the home page says its scripts mean “your profiles will never get blocked by platforms”. That is a claim with nothing published behind it, and no page discusses what the platforms’ own rules say about automation. Its Chrome Web Store listing declares that the extension handles personally identifiable information, authentication information, personal communications, location, user activity and website content.

What its pages leave out

No page describes tailoring a resume to each job; the plans count only resume profiles. Its pages do not say which applicant tracking systems beyond Greenhouse it fills, whether it opens employer accounts or reads emailed codes, or whether it runs in any browser besides Chrome.
